The smaller high-end iPhone is named the iPhone 12 Pro and features a similar 6.1in OLED screen to the iPhone 12 – larger than the 5.8in screen of the iPhone 11 Pro from 2019.

The iPhone 12 Pro will cost from £999 within the UK or $999 within the US and can be available from 23 October. The iPhone 12 Pro Max will cost £1,099 within the UK or $1,099 within the US but won't be available until 13 November.

The launch of 5G-capable iPhones is predicted to be a turning point within the roll-out of the fifth-generation mobile networks, during an identical manner to the first 4G-capable iPhone that spurred widespread adoption of the technology in 2012.
